“I’m ready for a job change, but I need a plan.”
Group coaching for women of color who want to make career moves with clarity, confidence, and community.
Why start with an Insight Session?
When we’re stressed or overwhelmed, we often don’t know what we truly need. The Insight session is designed to help you find clarity.
In 60 minutes, we’ll identify where you are on the stress-burnout continuum, pinpoint the aspects of your life that need attention, and outline your next steps, ensuring you leave the session with actionable insights.
Some people get everything they need from this session and move forward confidently on their own. For others, this session marks the beginning of a more in-depth coaching relationship. Either way, there’s no sales pitch or pressure—only expert advice tailored to you.
Let’s get you feeling better.
What my clients say
“Nicole was a true gift from the universe when I needed support the most . . . She was a phenomenal coach.”
Amatullah
“I felt seen and supported in ways that I hadn’t previously, and this propelled me forward with optimism after each session. You will feel buoyed, supported, seen, and excited about your future!”
Naomi
“Nicole was extremely helpful in getting me to think about tackling one thing at a time, making small changes over time that became lasting.”
Jennifer
Wondering why I do this work?
I experienced burnout more than once, but it wasn’t until I started having health problems that I decided to do something about it. My journey led me here to help others seeking change.
Most burnout advice focuses on individual flaws and ignores the larger systems designed to exhaust us, especially as women of color. While coaching can’t change these systems, I can help you navigate them so you can stay more present, have energy for what you want, or just live better.
With five years of coaching experience, multiple trainings, and decades of experience working in nonprofits, I use everything in my toolkit to support you. Whether you need everyday stress management tips or long-term support to recover from burnout, I’ve got your back.

Shortens your journey. Working with a coach allows you to make progress more effectively than relying on trial and error alone.
Focuses on you and you alone. In this busy world, it’s hard to get anyone’s attention. Working with a coach ensures someone is focused on you and your unique needs.
Lightens your burden. The number one emotion associated with burnout is overwhelm. You already have too much on your plate, and making decisions alone drains your energy. I’ll teach you how to redirect your focus to what you can control.
Keeps you on track. We meet regularly to develop and implement an action plan to achieve your goals. Knowing you’ve got skin in the game and a session on the calendar is motivation to show up for yourself.

While coaching and therapy have some overlap, they also have significant differences. Understanding these differences can help determine which one is best for you.
Therapy: Focuses on the present, includes a diagnostic evaluation, based on a medical model, paid for by the individual or insurance company, and requires provider licensing.
Coaching: Focuses on the future, fosters individual performance, based on evidence-based coaching models and theories, paid for by the individual and/or employer, and practitioners are usually certified, though it’s not required because the coaching industry isn’t regulated.
Here are a few more things to keep in mind about coaching:
Coaches emphasize taking action. This means that as the client, you are responsible for making progress, while the coach's role is to guide and support you, providing accountability in following through on your commitments.
Coaches don’t tell you what to do. A coach’s job is to collaborate with you to come up with the best solutions to your challenges. In other words, coaches help you help yourself.
Coaches are not licensed medical practitioners. Coaching can be therapeutic, but sometimes, things come up that require a different level of professional care. Some clients do coaching and therapy at the same time, as these practices can be complementary.

The live calls are held via Zoom, eliminating the need to travel or reside in the same city.
We’ll talk as a large group and, depending on the group size, may utilize breakout rooms.
You can expect a combination of reflection and planning during each call so the insights you gain from our dialogue set you up to take action.
